Job Opportunities at Firecracker Baseball

We at Firecracker Baseball are always looking for good baseball people to lend a hand.  We believe in builiding relationships with people in the community, along with providing a good positive learning enviornment for Sports Management, Journalism and Sports Marketers professionals looking to advance their careers.

Here are our current job opportunities for our upcoming events, some are paid positions and some are internships.

The role of the Site Supervisor is an important one.  This person is responsible for representing the tournament at one of our tournament fields for the entire event.  The Supervisor responsibilities include keeping “the book” for each game, handling any protests that are launched, maintaining the field between games (if there is no grounds crew), selling tournament t-shirts or just about any administrative duty that would represent Firecracker Baseball in a positive manner. This is a paid position, on behalf of Firecracker Baseball, LLC, paid for either 3 days or 4 days of our events (depends on field location/host of playoffs, etc).

The camp instructor is a baseball coach that will help Firecracker Baseball instruct/evaluate the players at our College Showcase Camp events.  This person, typically a college coach will be on the field during our camp helping make sure the event runs smoothly, by coaching a positional group, taking notes and collecting data on each individual player. This is a paid position, on behalf of Firecracker Baseball, LLC at the end of each day.

The position of camp evaluator is a college coach or pro scout who comes to our event to help evelute players for college and/or pro consideration.  They will be on the grounds to watch/evaluate players in their efforts to help further the player’s baseball career. This is a paid position, on behalf of Firecracker Baseball, LLC at the end of each day.

The “PA” Announcer is a valuable asset at any of our Firecracker Baseball events. Their role will introduce players, teams, sponsors and provide music as an ambience throughout our events. Also he/she will work our College Showcase Camp events, announcing coaches in attendance, providing valuable information for that day’s events along with working our tournament(s) at the pool play sites, along with Championship Day. This an internship opportunity BUT can be a paid position, on behalf of Firecracker Baseball, LLC depending on resume and experience.

In our efforts to try and promote our event(s), the role of Journalist/Social Media Reporter is one that would go to various fields and report on our events. He/She will take pictures, perform interviews, post social media campaigns to promote our events along with writing blogs/reviews of each day’s events. This person would be expected to be to travel to our various fields during a particular day, usually trying to attend 3-4 different fields/games per day throughout the event. This is an internship opportunity BUT can be a paid position, on bahlf of Firecracker Baseball, LLC depending on resume and experience.
