Dear Team Representative/Head Coach:
We are pleased to offer you an invitation to the 11th Annual "4th of July Showcase" presented by Firecracker Baseball. This showcase-based tournament will be held over the 4th of July weekend with lots of exciting action with 112 teams expected this year for the second time, last year we had 110 total teams participate and were sold out by January 1st!
Each year our tournament popularity continues to grow! Unfortunately, we do sell out early, usually by the holidays. This past summer we turned away 41 teams. We have received interest earlier than expected this year so we are opening up registrations now! Always looking to improve and provide a first class customer service to our players, coaches, families and programs, we are announcing our new addition for 2017 with "live streaming" of all Championship games! in 2018 we are offering a 2-day College Showcase Day event, then the 13U, 14U, 15U, 17U and 19U open tournament play creating a 7 day grand event for everyone involved, creating one of the most well attended, highly competitive and attractive options on the East Coast for summer baseball!
Remember once you play in one of tournaments and events, your spot is safe and secured for each tournament moving forward as long as your team/program bides by our rules, tournament guidelines and sportsmanship. We do reserve the right to ban teams or programs from future events for violating these rules for the inergrity of the game of baseball, along with the Firecracker Baseball Showcase tournament brand.
We can’t emphasize enough to secure your spot early.
Again, this will be a definite sellout for all age groups!
Mark your calendars now!

Pool play format will be used with all teams guaranteed to play at least 4 games (weather permitting). Teams will be placed in pools, based solely on where they are from. We like to place teams from different areas against each other to allow the kids to play teams from different areas, cities and play against different players then they are normally used to. We also rotate teams around, year to year, from different facilities so they get to play on different college and high school fields.
Participation is expected to fill up before the January 1, 2018 as usual. Registration for this tournament is $950.00, including a box (1 dozen) of game baseballs, NFHS approved. There are discounts for entering by different dates, so check registration form and website regulary. Upon receipt of your application and payment, an email will be sent confirming your entry and that your spot is secured. Your spot is NOT fully secured until payment is received.
On November 1st, we will be opening up registrations to all new programs and registration on a first come first serve basis. All new programs you can deposit now to secure your spot in line for the first available in each division. We are taking $100 deposits, per team to secure your place in line for this prestigous event. New programs please fill out this form to deposit for your spot, all other Firecracker Baseball Showcase Tournaments are open for registrations. This event, since we have sold out for the last 10 years has exclusivity to our current customers.
All Umpires are High School board certified. All games will have 2 umpires during pool play and playoffs. There will be 3 umpires for all Championship games at Brown University. Preliminary round games will take place at area high school and collegiate fields with the playoffs and championship games at college facilities. In prior years we have used the University of Rhode Island’s artificial turf field, along with Brown University, Rhode Island College, Johnson & Wales, Bridgewater State University, Stonehill College, CCRI, Salve Regina University, Assumption College and the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth. This year we are hopeful to add Curry College and beautiful Roger Williams University in Bristol, Rhode Island.
We also contact all the local colleges and professional scouts on our extensive college and pro contact list to let them know about the tournament. We forward showcase day workouts, workout lists, tournament team rosters and tournament schedules to get your student athletes more exposure for the weekend. This past year we had over 81 representatives from college and professional programs, including Wheaton College, Boston College, Bryant University, Salve Regina University, Post University, Daniel Webster, St. John’s University, Johnson & Wales University, Brown University, University of Rhode Island, Assumption College, Nicholls College, University of San Fransico, Stonehill College, Worcester State, University of Massachusetts, the College of the Holy Cross, CCRI, Union College, Fairleigh Dickinson University, Quinicipac University and Skidmore College along with scouts from the New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Tampa Rays, Miami Marlins, New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, Texas Rangers, Pittsburgh Pirates and Seattle Mariners plus many more.
