2017 Colonial Clash Showcase Tournament by Firecracker Baseball

We are pleased to offer you an invitation to the 1st Annual Firecracker Baseball "Colonial Clash Showcase Tournament" for 15U, 17U, and 19U teams. This showcase-based tournament will be held July 28-30, 2017 with a College Showcase Day on Thursday, July 27th, including pool play with lots of exciting action with close to 30 teams expected this year.  

Each year our tournaments popularity continues to grow! We have received interested earlier than expected for this new and excting event so we are opening up registrations now!

We can’t emphasize enough to secure your spot early.

Teams looking to get into our sold out annual 4th of July Showcase, this is a great opprtunity to get your spot secured now for 2017. Once your in our events and tournaments, your team's spot is always safe as long as the rules, games and sportmanship is maintained for your team's intergrity along with the Firecracker Baseball Showcase brand.

College Showcase Day will be held Thursday, July 27th, 2017

15U, 17U and 19U will have pool play: Friday, July 28th & Saturday, July 29th, 2017

Playoffs and Championships will be on Sunday, July 30th, 2017

Pool play format will be used with all teams guaranteed to play at least 4 games (weather permitting). Teams will be placed in pools, based solely on where they are from. We like to place teams from different areas against each other to allow the kids to play teams from different areas, cities and play against different players then they are normally used to. We also rotate teams around, year to year, from different facilities so they get to play on different college and high school fields. 

Participation is limited to 30 teams and is expected to fill up before January 31, 2017 as usual. Registration for this tournament is $925.00, including a box of game baseballs. There are discounts for entering by different dates, so check registration form and website regulary. Please fill out the registration form and pay online to insure your team a spot in this tournament. Upon receipt of your application and payment, an email will be sent confirming your entry and that your spot is secured. Your spot is NOT fully secured until payment is received. 

We upgrading our new tournament only website with all our information from prior year’s tournaments, rules and regulations, hotel and tournament personnel contact information. 

All Umpires are High School board certified. All games will have 2 umpires during pool play and playoffs. There will be 3 umpires for all Championship games. Preliminary round games will take place at area high school and collegiate fields with the playoffs and championship games at college facilities. We are finalizing contracts now with local colleges and high schools to put you and your programs on the top fields in the Port Chester, NY area. We always use the best fields to give our players, coaches and families a first class expereicne, this year's 4th of July Showcase championship games took place at NCAA D1's Bryant University. In prior years we have used the University of Rhode Island’s turf complex, along with Brown University, Rhode Island College, Johnson & Wales and Assumption College.

We also contact all the local colleges and professional scouts in this area to let them know about the tournament, team rosters and schedules to get your student athletes more exposure for that weekend. This past summer we had over 56 representatives from college and professional programs, including Wheaton College, Boston College, Bryant University, Salve Regina University, Farleigh Dickinson University, Johnson & Wales University, Brown University, University of Rhode Island, Assumption College, Nicholls College, Stonehill College, the College of the Holy Cross, CCRI, Union College, Quinicipac University, and Skidmore College, University of San Fransisco along with scouts from the New York Mets, Boston Red Sox, Cincinnati Reds, Tampa Rays, Miami Marlins, New York Yankees, Toronto Blue Jays, Pittsburgh Pirates and Seattle Mariners.
